Know the facts.

Bridge to Home provides support services – including an emergency winter shelter, case management, housing navigation, and medical clinics – that help individuals and families in the Santa Clarita Valley transition out of homelessness. Bridge to Home is funded through contracts with the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, subcontracts with Los Angeles Family Housing, private and public grants, and extensive in-kind donations and participation from the local community.
With a mission to “empower single parents and their children by providing hope, support, and resources so families can become self-sustaining and thrive,” Single Mothers Outreach (SMO) directly helps single parents find jobs, get educated, stabilize their children’s emotional state, manage finances, and help one another.

Under the Bridge: The Criminalization of Homelessness

"Under the Bridge: The Criminalization of Homelessness" is a documentary film about one summer in Indianapolis, a tent city under a bridge, a man named Maurice, and the criminalization of homelessness in the United States. The unofficial "mayor" of the Davidson St. camp, Maurice is an older, dreadlocked Black man who has dropped out of "normal" society to minister to the homeless. His camp under a railroad track becomes a real community, supported by church volunteers, until police and bulldozers close in to shut it down.
Homeless: The Motel Kids of Orange County

A documentary that explores the world of children who reside in discounted motels within walking distance of Disneyland, living in limbo as their families struggle to survive in one of the wealthiest regions of America. The parents of motel kids are often hard workers who don't earn enough to own or rent homes. As a result, they continue to live week-to-week in motels, hoping against hope for an opportunity that might allow them to move up in the O.C.
