Angels of LA

Dedicated to combatting the struggles of poverty and homelessness in the greater Los Angeles area.

our Mission

Angels of LA hopes to alleviate the struggles of poverty for the homeless and low-income population in the Santa Clarita Valley and LA County. We want to spread awareness about homelessness and poverty in our area and humanize these issues.

Together, we are working towards a future in which no one in Los Angeles is without livable conditions. We aim to accomplish this by partnering with organizations throughout Los Angeles County to eradicate homelessness and poverty in their respective areas.

Did you know?

The National Alliance to End Homelessness states that there are 564,708 people experiencing homelessness on any given night in the US.

How many are affected?

36,907 (6.38%) of which are children, 47,725 (8.33%) are veterans, and 269,991 (47.6%) are disabled and unable to work.

Why is this happening?

According to the National Coalition for the Homeless, two trends are largely responsible for the rise in homelessness in America over the past 20-25 years: a growing shortage of affordable rental housing and a simultaneous increase in poverty.

What leads to these crises?

Many factors can contribute to a person becoming homeless. These factors include:
• Poverty
• Lack of affordable housing
• Job loss
• Lack of health care
• Mental illness
• Substance abuse
• Domestic violence
